Archimedes – Part 2: Calculating the volume of a sphere

Back in the third century BC, working out the volume of a sphere was no easy feat. But Archimedes managed to do it. He already knew how to find the volume of a cylinder, and the volume of a cone, and he knew how fulcrums work. Using only this, he worked out the volume of a sphere. Here’s how he did it.
